SUBURBAN'S PUBLIC FACE

One of the directives of our founding mission was to provide education and entertainment to people in nursing homes, hospitals, schools, etc. As part of that mission, a dozen or so SDTC members are part of Suburban's Demo Team and visit various facilities approximately once a month.
At the facilities, we introduce ourselves, explain what our particular breed was bred for, tell a little bit about what we do as dog trainers, demonstrate the routines with our dogs and, afterwards, socialize with the residents, patients or students. In schools, we will also present information to the children on things like how to approach and greet a dog.The four-legged members of our group run from chihuahua to Irish wolfhound and everything in between and are well-trained, well-socialized, friendly dogs, all certified with various therapy dog organizations.
Our visits bring knowledge, entertainment, and a happy hour or two to those we visit and are very gratifying to us with our dogs.

Club members and their dogs participated in the 2012 Hatboro Holiday Parade. Our well-trained dogs wowed the viewers who were further awed by several cart-pulling dogs.

Club members and their dogs again participated in the Hatboro Holiday Parade in November 2013. It was a mite chilly but by Christmas it's expected that just about everyone should be thawed out.

Club members and their dogs manned a Club information table and put on a Rally Obedience demonstration on 5/19/13 at the Heel for Healing event to benefit Abington Hospital. The dogs didn't complain about the all-day rain.
